The history of Feng Shui and how this spiritual art can help you harmonise your mind, body, business and home and attract abundance and prosperity.

What is Feng Shui and why implement this into your home and/or business?

Missed blog 1? Read it here.

Sometimes when you manifest abundance and prosperity, it can take a long time to come into reality, and there are times where it can happen within an instance. You tend to look at yourself and ask 'What is wrong with me?', for your manifesting not to work. We know manifesting is all about using our mind and even the basic being visualisation but you've probably never thought that it could be the clutter in your home or business, right?

The more clutter you have, the more your mind becomes cluttered and busy. When you look at your home ask yourself how do you feel when you look at each room and even the outside of your home, also your business.

Everything is energy, and Feng Shui, meaning wind water is also based on energy (Qi - pronounced chi). Decluttering is so impotant, not only does it bring in new energy, you're also donating stuff, selling stuff and keeping stuff you really need. Also the Laws of Karma, giving and receiving, what you give out you get in return, although don't expect it, it will just happen in divine right time!

After decluttering, you're probably wondering what role Feng Shui has to play within your home and business right? Well, the basics are looking at what elements work well together in each room, placements of furniture and colours that illuminate and work hand in hand with the factors I've just mentioned.

There are a few methods such as Eight House and Flying Star, one of the basic one's is using the Bagua Map, this is where you line up the Bagua Map with an outline of your home and where your rooms are positioned. For example, your bedroom could be sitting in the wealth area or your kitchen could be sitting in the relationship sector. It is also important to have a good quality compass in order to check out the directions your things are sitting in and where to place certain 'cures'.

A pesonal Bagua Map can also be created but remember, this is separate to your house's Bagua Map.

When using 'cures' such as a Salt Cure kit, Bagua mirror, a specific Talisman, it is so essential you know where you are placing such items and you carefully follow the instructions from the supplier or Feng Shui Consultant. If placed incorrectly, this can affect the result in a negative way!

Each cure can focus on so many things and in particular, areas you're struggling with.

How did Feng Shui come about?
Feng Shui developed in China more than 5000 years ago. Based on Taoist philosophy, one of eight branches of Tao which included I Ching book of changes, acupuncture, herbal medicine, qigong, meridians, astrology, taoist yoga (yin yoga) and Feng Shui.

Feng Shui was first used to site graves unnaffected by floods and typhoons, later to orientate buildings (often spiritually significant structures), in an auspicious manner. Sites were determined by preference to features such as bodes of water, stars or a compass.
